Our family

by LONELY   Jan 27, 2007

Stuck between these four walls all on my own
Nothing to look at except this filthy dorm
He shouts he screams his eyes filled with anger
All of that because we were suffering from too much hunger
Treats us like dogs, every day he throws us a bone
We think and we ask ourselves, is this really our home?
Our picture of a family was mom and dad and children
But I guess our family went through a filtering
Our dad is no longer a dad, a person
I guess we used our imagination, he and all of it was fiction
Our life is like a story, a fairy tale, one they don't tell at night
Fearing that their kids would suffer from too much fright
But when we were young, he used to sit us in bed
And told us things, now we know, people left unsaid.

you guys this poem is about my dad who isn't himself lately because he thinks we are spending too much money...the line where it says because we suffer from too much hunger that means too much hunger for money or shopping...and i cant seem to find an ending for this poem so i appreciate anybody who wants to help...and if you do you can email me at spookydestingy_321@hotmail.com...thank you very much this means a lot 2 me

Your poem is great. there once was a saying that too much of something ruins it...I'd leave it as is
