Secrets Still Untold

You looked at me tonight
With those sea-green eyes
Promising me that I'd be alright
I didn't have to lie.

It was snowy and cold
Seconds seemed like forever
Silent secrets still untold
As we begin this latest endeavor.

I thought it would be easy
But boy, was I wrong
I tried not to look desperate or needy
And hope that it wouldn't last long.

And give you a call
