Dear Dad

by Katie   Jan 28, 2007

Dear Dad:
I often sit and think of you,
And how life would be,
If I could remember your face,
And if you actually knew me.
You stole so much from me,
you tore my world apart,
And now I am left wondering,
How to pick up the scattered pieces of my broken heart.
you tried so hard to love me,
Too hard actually,
You tore me down verbally,
you made a fool of me.
and often times i wonder,
if you had never died,
would you have said your sorry,
or still say that I lied?
you lied to me repeatedly,
you lived in your own world,
But when you took those pills that night,
were you even thinking of your little girl?
I know you wanted to be there,
but you went to far,
And although all the bruises have healed-
I still live with the emotional scars.
