Missing

by Ray   Jan 28, 2007

I miss the taste of your lips, so sweet.
I miss you poking me in the side.
And when I start tickling your feet,
I miss that smile you always hide.

I miss running fingers through your hair.
I miss the jokes that make you mad.
I miss just how much you care,
About my pathetic attempts to be bad.

But, darling, I could never miss you,
Because for me you're always here.
Even when we're parted for a month or two,
It still feels like you're near.

My pillow still holds the scent of your shampoo.
I can still feel your tiny hand in mine.
I can still hear your voice singing beautiful tunes.
I can still see the way your doe eyes shine.

I'll just rely on memory 'til you're here again,
Remembering all your charms.
Counting down the days between now and then,
When I can hold you in my arms.
