I used to call you wife

by ben thompson   Jan 28, 2007

Your frigid indifference, shattered our already fragile state.
Yesterday there was hope, but tomorrow its too late.

I was willing to make changes, but you were never there.
Me I tried to hold up hope, while you ceased to care.

Your lonely heart turned into a dark voided hole.
Sucking in evil words, you injected into my soul.

When did your charming innocence turn into a lie.
Remember us in grassy fields with clouds floating by.

That was so long ago it must've been another life.
The old unhappy one in which I called you wife.

Now I'm happy with the lady of my dreams.
Me and her just fit, we make a perfect team.

So I wish you happiness and all the best in life.
For you were almost my soul mate, and I used to call you wife.
