Last Day On Earth

by Wings Of Flames   Jan 29, 2007

As I shut my eyes to sleep,
As the curtains drawn,
As I begin to ponder,
Of the presence of the dawn,

As my mind does not rest,
As my eyes begin to flicker,
As my tears begin to spill,
As time passes much quicker,

As I stare down my heartbeats,
As I wish for another,
As the moon lights the world,
As I beg from Earthly mother,

"Please let the moon rein,
Never let it lie,
Please don't let the sun rise,
Or my heart shall surely die."

I know that they will move on,
But I also know the truth,
My heart strings shall be pulled,
And the outcome will be proof,

Dearest friends I shall miss,
As they pass another year,
Issues I shall have to leave,
But alone one constant fear,

"Forget me not butterfly,
Don't let go of me,
Forget me not flutterby,
Cause you is all I see."

+ To my dearest of friends, whom shall eventually leave me behind. +

Great work. But many of your friends aren't going to leave you....ever.

    Love you for all time,
