The Sweetest Sin

by Daisy if you do   Jan 29, 2007

There is a tell tell sign,
That lies upon his hand,
The symbol of infinity,
Left by a golden band,
Just a circle of white,
Untouched by the sun,
Proudly he had wore it,
When their love begun,
Now it's just a memory
Stained upon his skin,
He sleeps with me and
dreams of her, it is his
Sweetest sin

The symbolism of - the golden band ....untouched by the sun - is exquisite. The wonderful contrast's continue with the great line 'He sleeps with me and
    dreams of her'.
This is a beautiful bitter/sweet poem.
