I try

by ruth   Jan 29, 2007

I try to get outta bed,
but i lack the strength
to make it through the day.

I spend all my time wondering
what I'd be like if you stayed.

I try to laugh and smile
but the guilt
always holds my spirits in place.

I'm sorry i had to box up the pictures
Though I'll never forget your face.

I try to look upward
but the grief
always brings me down.

I feel if i hold on longer
I am going to drown.

I try to move forward
but the memories
cloud the road black.

Please don't be angry
I must let you go
to get my life back.

This is a very good piece.
Hard, but necessary to let go on the one you love to move on..
    The end is great
    Loved reading it.
    Take care
