Good Man

by Heather   Jan 29, 2007

They told me he's a good man,
And he's very proud of me.
From his perch in heaven,
They say he's watching me.
I turn toward the sky and searched the clouds,
But there's no one there looking down at me.
They told me to look harder,
and that he was there.
I search and search from dawn till dusk,
But no face does appear.
I lay awake wondering if i was fed a line,
then I picked up his book and studied his word.
when morning finally came I smiled at the sky,
then I knealed beside my bed,
and I prayed for the first time.
