Morning Light

by Linda   Jan 29, 2007

I open my eyes to first morning light and for a second I am happy,
I suddenly remember you aren't there and how my life is empty,
I let a tear fall from my worn out eyes and look towards the light,
Even that makes no difference in my daily fight.

I carry on through the day in empty sad existence, the things I say, the things I do and no one ever listens.
I cry some more and pray for night, and wait for morning light,
the only thing that keeps me going is that daily fight...
