Reckoning

by Jessica   Jan 30, 2007

When he faces the consequences alone
He screams out for help
When he's slowly dying
His secrets still lurk in the shadows
His world is about to crack beneath him
There's so much pain he screams out for his reckoning
He's up against the wall with nowhere to go
He still clings to her his only paradise
Believing her love will save him from the flames
He used to think that he was bulletproof
He needs her to break his fall
She learned her lesson the first time
Her eyes still glisten with tears
He sold her all his lies before
Saying that she was his only weakness
Then he broke her, she sat there all alone
She knows he could be her reckoning
She holds their love to the flame and watches it fade away
He said that he was only human
She wanted him but she knows of the pain
So her love leaves her torn
