My promise

I've wanted to give up for so long
But now I refuse to let go of my life
I am holding on tightly
And moving away from strife.

I have so much to live for
And I know now my time is not yet done
I'm not giving up without a fight
I'm making this a battle won.

For so long I had forgotten my dreams
But once again they're in sight
I'll do whatever it takes to achieve them
Once again the future seems so bright.

The bad times are just a test
