If the hands of Love were soft

by Chelsey   Jan 30, 2007

I don't think I'd be so afraid
To fall in love at a young age
If the hands of love were soft
Instead of rough and full of rage

Kind, gentle hands
That hold you when you sleep
Ones that wipe away the tears
When your eyes weep

Perhaps if a parent
Were warm and full of love
They would no longer hit their child
They'd hug instead of shove

Wrapping you within their warmth
Providing much needed comfort
No cold or harsh words
Only a sanctuary of support

Perhaps if a spouse
Was so quick to give a kiss
They wouldn't beat each other
Since it seems thats what love is

Two peaceful hearts
Companionship and trust
Caring for one another
Communication is a must

Some people don't even get excited anymore
When a new baby is born
All this violence is intimidating
The meaning of love is being torn

I don't think I'd be so afraid
To fall in love at a young age
If the hands of love were soft
Instead of rough and full of rage

Collab with Ang.....LOVE this Angela it was fun as per usual!!!
