Looks Aren't Everything

The only ones that are perfect
Are the not so attractive guys
But at least I know he'll care for me
And that he won't make me cry

And as I'm writing this poem
I have one guy in my mind
And I know that I really
Can't leave the love I feel behind

I don't know how to tell him
Just how in love I am
And I just hope when I tell my friends
That they all understand

I love this boy, I really do
He is perfect for me
I think deep in my heart
That we are meant to be

He's the one that can make me smile
And he makes my heart sing
And I learned through this boy
That looks aren't everything

    I'm going to be honest.
    It took me a while to realize that in life, looks aren't anything. As I've gotten older, I've started seeing this & I feel ashamed about how I treated people in my past based on looks. Now, I've learned from my mistakes & I have someone great in my life. =]

    Awww this is so sweet and true. You're right, looks aren't everything. I'm in the same situation you are (though, I think my new guy is pretty cute, not hott, but cute :) ) As long as he makes you happy then he's perfect. I hope he treats you right. Best wishes.
