There you are

by xXLost in the Nightmare of LifeXx   Jan 31, 2007

There you are,
Down the street
Laughing with you friends.
Uncaring that my heart is bleeding.
You see me,
But your stare is more of a glare,
Then you laugh as your friend makes a joke,
And continue down the street.

There you are,
Across the room.
A few years gone,
Yet my heart still bleeds.
You look at me,
Your eyes full of laughter as you approach me.
Hello you say.
I stare,
Remembering the heart break.
How are you? You ask.
I respond,
Snapping out of my memory lane daze,
And then walk away from you.

There you are.
Down the street.
With a girl.
A passion filled kiss leaves her lips.
My heart no longer bleeds though.
I stare at you indifferent,
And walk away forever,
Finally leaving the ghosts of my past,
To slumber in a fantasy world.
