I'm sorry daddy

by missy   Jan 31, 2007

I'm sorry daddy
I was never really there,
I am no longer your princess
with long black hair.
My soul got lost
somewhere down the line
never did I know
drugs would screw my mind.

I'm sorry daddy
I'm no longer a little girl
never did I feel
I belonged in this world.
My vision is now blurry
my thoughts are not straight
I've been ripped and torn
by peoples hate.

I'm sorry daddy
for I know not what to say
Never can I rid this pain
not one single day.
My tears just run
I cry and cry
I just can't stop
even if I try.

I'm sorry daddy
for leaving you
I wrote you this letter
for i feel so blue.
I feel so bad
not to say goodbye
I'm sorry daddy
that i died.

Wow that really was a sad poem and quite well written at that, it gives a little food for thought to me as a father of a 21 year old daughter and 18 year old son thats for sure.
    Really sad.
    Well done

Wow you are so talented and I love the fact this almost made me cry because you moved me. You touched me and I think thats what makes a poem a good poem. Not how it rymes or how it flows or the words used as much as how you make a person feel when they are reading it! Very well done. If I get some more time I will read all of your poems...
