Beach Tears

The girl silently sits
Crying in the dark
The tears stream down her face
Every one leaves a mark

Questioning herself
Trying to understand
Wishing someone would hold her
And lift her off the sand

The moon shines down upon her
Shining off the sea
She asks herself silently,
"Does anyone notice me?"

She hears a quiet whisper
Telling her to pray
She closes her eyes and speaks to God
And tells him about her day

"Well, Lord, for one, I cried today
"Cause they just don't understand."
She told him how she dropped her books
And no one lent out a hand

"Lord, all they did was laugh at me
And it made me feel so bad.
Then they walked all over me,
And that's what made me sad."

She told Him about the boys who teased
And the one who hit her hard
She told Him how she lost her lunch
And the girl had made her scarred

She started speaking once again
But someone made her hush
She started feeling happier
It came in such a rush

"My darling child, you must not worry
For I was with you throughout the day.
I know you cried, I know you hurt
But I did not go away."

God layed her down, upon the sand
And wiped away her tears
He calmed her nerves, and kissed her soul
And drained her of all her fears

She closed her eyes and said to God,
"Thank you for all you've done."
She fell asleep and the Lord whispered,
"I'd do it for anyone."
