I got broken once
but it hurt enough
to place my heart out of anyones reach
lock it up
and throw away the key
slowly i recovered
with a bit of your help
a couple weeks later
you proved to me how much you cared
you got down on your hands and knees
and searched for the key
i'd thrown it far
but anyone who tried to find it
truely cared for me
so i let you in
let you keep the key
and i trust you
not to hurt me
