Today was the true test
Of how I would react.
Would I change my mind,
Or rewind?

I saw you
And you saw me.
So far so good.
I did what I should.

We said hello
And gave a hug.
I wanted to cry,
Maybe curl up and die.

I held your hand.
I wish I could change it,
Something that seems fit.

It was not meant to be the last.

I know I meant it at the time

What changed between
then and now, I am not sure.
I said I'd always love you
Maybe one day it will renew.

Breaking up wasnt what
I was thinking when I woke up.
But then something clicked.
And out went the love light with a flick.
