Mother Dearest

by Alicia   Feb 1, 2007

Mother dearest,
You have caused me pain.
You said I was a mistake,
And that I have no brain.

Why did you keep me,
I once dared to ask.
You just replied with one simple word,
Guess.

Since then I've questioned,
The importance of life.
Why even continue with our silly fight?
No matter what I do, Your always right!...

So I'm giving up now..
You hear that!
You win.
Go up to Portland, to celebrate!
With him...

I'll stay here,
And end all your pain...
As I cut deeper,
Into my vein.

The police will be by,
To clean up my blood.
Which now fills the sink,
Like a deep red flood...

So that's it,
Goodbye!
I'm out of your life.
And you can continue,
To go on with ythis strife.

Go do what you want.
Go do what you please.
Cause I'm no longer around.
For your shifty eyes to tease.

I thought that was a very good poem. That's the way my dad is. I used to cut to take away my pain, but I moved on and found better ways.
