Letting Go/Acceptance

Learn from the mistake of letting you go,
i had the opportunity to let my feelings show.
missed my chance, now you're gone,
forever keeping the memories that were oh so fond.

not sure if i'd start over again,
somethings i've learned helped other issues mend.
seeing you happy puts a smile on my face,
although i was never yours, i feel like i'm replaced.

time heals what hurts the most,
no matter what you feel.
especially what was all in your head,
that once felt so real.

i accept the fact that you're with her,
i can say that i'm alright.
letting go&moving on is not an easy task,
but i did it with all my might.
