The Non-Believer

by The Queen of Spades   Feb 1, 2007

You, do You hear me?
I am that which You have betrayed
You thought You could define me,
The creature that You made

But I am not Your doing
So I refuse to succumb to Your way
I will not fall into Your trickery
Just because I fell yesterday

No more do I believe
In the dictator rules You impose
And I won't fall prey again
To all those ideas that are supposed

I am a creature of myself
I am a leader of myself
I am a blessing of myself
I am a believer of myself

Believing in yourself is a thing I rarely see, or feel. It's good to be yourself and know you're your own person. It was well said in this write, and I hope this is an inspiration to all the teens (and adults) with self esteem issues.
You used repetition here to your benefit, which is nice to see and nice to read.
I think the only suggestion I can give for this is to add more punctuation. Just because it makes it easier to read and take in from the readers point of view, also it looks more presentable.
    Thanks for sharing.
