Her Reputation

by BeautifulDisaster   Feb 1, 2007

They all say the same things.
shes a bad kid.

Someone who doesnt do what their told,
someone who disobeys the laws.

The teachers dont like her,
Neither do any parents.

They say shes on drugs,
that shes smoking & drinking.

All of them say shes gross,
that she sleeps around.

But when they started talking about her,
she was a virgin & completely sober.

As the talking started,
she decided she no longer cared.

What people say shouldnt matter,
but apparently it does.

Her reputation is bad,
and her town gave it to her.

People say it shouldnt matter,
what everyone thinks.

But when the whole town turns on you,
then yeah it matters.

When you grow up hearing,
dont listen to them their jealous.

It feels like you have a say,
in what they think.

But when your a teen,
they dont listen to a word you say.

When your a teen all you are,
is a bad kid with a bad reputation.

Alot of places are like that...people like to make rumors and stupid crap up just because they dont like the person...and eventually every gullable person out there will turn on you...its got to be the most stupid social trait ever....but this was a good poem...im sure alot of people can understand how that is.

Once again, a good poem, but a lack in more mature vocabulary. Good message in your poem as well. Nice job.
