Your Special Touch

Sometimes you need encouragement,
To lift you back to your feet,
A simple thing to make you smile,
To make your day feel complete.

Someone can give you the love,
You need to get through the day,
They make the cake taste sweeter,
And everything feel OK.

Somethings can fill you with hope,
While others can let you down,
But the more happiness we hold onto,
The less need we have to frown.

And though my days could not be better,
And my cake is sweet as can be,
I still feel something is missing,
Like another part of me.

The times when I need encouragement,
I seek my memories of you,
You're always cheering my name,
And helping me get through.

You're the one who gives me love,
When I feel I cant make the day,
You put the sweetness in my cake,
And make everything OK.

My thoughts of you fill me with hope,
And you could never let me down,
And while you're in my thoughts,
I will have no need to frown.

No words could describe how I miss you,
And no happiness could feel the same,
As the happiness I felt with you,
And whenever I speak your name.
