Prayer

I asked for a prayer
the night he left
i can't believe how long
we've spent!

I was supposed to go to
a party with him that night
but i told him i wasn't going
to drink and drive!

I told him to promise
he'd always be there
he looked at me so sadly
and said baby please don't
be scared!

He pulled away so slowly
until I yelled for him
to hold me closely

I thought he would leave
the drugs and booze at the bar
but instead there was a pile up
between four different cars

He smoked a bowl
one after another he
stopped suddenly after seeing
his little brother

He told them he couldn't smoke
anymore crack but then
he turned to the full twelve pack

He sayed he was sorry
he knew it was wrong
but he had to stay till
the alcohol was gone!

He was lucky that night
to still be alive after
that he refuses to
drink and drive!!!
