Poor Little Girl

Poor little girl
cried herself to sleep
because of a stupid little boy
that didn't see her as his dream

little girl woke up
tears streamed down her face
as the family watched
she hoped she didn't have to go to school today

he seemed so perfect
maybe an angel
little did she know
he was missing his halo

he wasn't what he seemed
everyone else seemed to know
in her eyes he was the dream
friends knew it was for show

who would've thought
a boy who seemed to be everything
would be the boy
to bring down her self esteem
