Time Stood Still

I remember like it was yesterday
You were walking down my street
I liked everything about you
Though i saw you just a heartbeat.

I asked you what your name was
And you told me in a sweet tone
What a wonderful name i thought
"I'm sure you don't wannna walk alone"

I said it like i knew you
And you accepted like you knew me
So we walked two miles that day
And the rest was history.

So began what we had
So began both our time
We'll never leave each other
Our love can only climb.

Time stood still for us
So we were together forever
I loved you always
But when this happened-never.

I blink and see you still walking
As I snap back to reality
And not a second has passed by
It was all my mentality.
