Watching the stars at night I see
a shooting star fly across the dark
black sky.
I wish upon it with all of my might.
I wish I were sharing this view with you tonight.
The moon is shining so bright that
it lights up the path I am walking on.
I hear the crickets chirping and wish
that I could share their beautiful
song with you.
I find a garden and smell the
beautiful flowers and wish that you
were here to smell them too.
I hear a waterfall and decide to follow the noise, as I find it I think
of you and of how much I wish I could dive into it with you.
I decide to rest on the land beside
the water and wish that I were
lying down with you by my side.
I try not to choke on my tears
because of longing to be with you.
But in my heart, I know you are
here then I close my eyes and
somehow the pain seems to
disappear.
It's still not as good as if you were
here with me physically, but
it gives me peace of mind.
You help me find the good in everything.
So with the all the love I feel for
you I decide to put it into a song
and sing.
