GREAT JOB! this is what I call a dark poem. I love the feeling most of all! Your gonna have to tell me what encouraged you to write this.

Very dark, tragic and emotional. Beautifully written, one small falter in flow:

and the sound of skin touching a knife

One beat to many in the line, it makes the flow stop and really weakens the poem, I suggest dropping the 'a', still has the same meaning, and the flow has no problems. To me it reads much better.
Apart from that its an excellent poem.
