Young Girl

by pozinthenoise   Feb 3, 2007

Young girl, don't look at her
You will just get too scared
Close your eyes for a while,
Then think of a reason to smile...

Don't recall that she hit you so many times before
With the bruise, and your own blood on the floor
Don't give a shelter for unspoken anger
Remember, she's your mother, and you're her daughter

She loves you even though she broke your nose
She cares though she forced you to wear those thin clothes
Please understand when she sold your body to a stranger
That she even killed your younger brother.

It's not your fault that your father left her so early
He didn't want a baby, oh, he's not ready
While your mother looks at you bitterly
She still let you live, save it in your memory...

Young girl, don't shed those bloody tears
Stay strong; face your train of fears
Don't blame yourself for putting that dagger
In the chest of your own mother

You're now free,
In the backyard, you buried her body.
Run after you erase the evidence, run, leave the city!
The find a place where you can live peacefully...

Young girl, you've grown up into a lovely lady
You're carrying a baby girl but you're of no happy family
The man left you, he didn't want a baby, oh he's not ready
Don't blame your daughter, she knows nothing can't you see?

Poor young girl, you're too young to understand
Poor young girl, I know you'll be sad
One day, you'll wake up to wash that blood in your hand
The same fiery blood your mother once had...

"What did a young girl do to live a life the same as her mother?"
