School

Put on a mask
And become accepted;
Wear a fake smile
And you're now welcome.

Dress ta conform;
Fakely appreciated.
Mentally poisoned;
Of them ta yet become.

Walk the walk,
Talk the talk;
Is only a matter
Of learning ta lie.

Severely watched
And mistakes shock
The all-powerfuls
Who wished you die.

Riches and luxury,
Candy cars and ice,
Preps with all A's
Is all they care to know.

All that can be done
Is exact and precise.
Whole life on display
And you live as if a show.

I can see the sorrow
That lingers beneath your eyes.
I can sense the pain
That hides behind your laugh.

I can hear the cries
From deep down within.
You long ta do so much more
But it's all full of sin.

You hide your true likes
Ta not have ta live alone.
And go along with that you hate
So they don't think no lower.

If you don't live ta their stands
Your only chances will be blown.
You can only like whom is "ok"
And deny your feelings for her.

Literally left in the dark, but
Take the blame for what you don't do.
When something does go down
You're the fingers first pointed at.

This may be how they live,
But this really ain't you.
K though 12, it's all the same.
School sucks, that's that.
