Together

Through the phone, computer,
or anywhere private you're great.
I squeal and jump whenever receiving a message.
But around others I am shunned;
ignored by you.
It's worse than being hated.
Am I embarrassing to be around?
Do people laugh and say
"Oh, it's THAT girl again
stay away from her,
she's different"?
I promise I'm not trying to make your life harder,
I just need to be near you;
need to hear your voice speaking to me.
So I'm a little different than your network of friends.
I'm quieter,
I think before I speak,
I'm merely a tad bit wiser than them;
Is there anything wrong with that?
I know people say things about me;
Even my own friends do on occasion.
Especially her.
But imagine us together as one.
Together in a paradisaical relationship,
Together, none of that would matter.
