Death is like a memory

Death is like a memory
It can hurt like stubbing a toe, or it can be as peaceful as a sun setting after a hard days work
It can make you want to bring back the good 'ol days, but it can also bring back those nasty fights.
But they always remind you of a special someone that affected your life.
They make you think of your past regrets, things you always wish you could have fixed.
It can go by fast like a thief in the night, or it can be as slow as the moon changing into the sun
They once were a beautiful thing, but they slowly disappeared in the night.
They once made you happy, but now show your true emotions
Many things remind you of them, even if it's as simple as a smell or as complex as a flower.
They're like flash backs from the past that show up in your dreams
They both want to haunt you, and invade your thoughts
They want to make your mind their home.
Both are hard to let go
Each impossible to forget.
Death is like a memory
