Moms birthday

by Amanda   Feb 4, 2007

Well, another year has passed,
your birthday is here again,
Celebrating your special day,
one my own, filled up with pain,

I never get to even see you,
so i remember you today,
Wishing you lots of happiness,
in every special way,

I don't want you to shut me out,
it feels like you aren't even here,
Just tiny fading memories,
on one photo that I hold near,

The only picture I've got with us,
is one when I was just a child,
Just me, you and my dad,
in the days when I was wild,

It is smaller than my hand,
but it's precious to me you see,
Back in the day when we were us,
nowadays my family is only me....

So here's to you just for today,
Hoping you are thinking of me too,
Knowing that you're in my heart,
no matter what I do....
