A tragedy unleashed

Everyone thought she was happy, in their eyes she was perfect.
She has silky black hair and beautiful hazel eyes.
Captain of the basketball team, good grades, and a heavenly smile to match her life of greatness.
She was always laughing,
and everyone liked her,
everyone wanted to be her.
They never thought she was in pain.
They never knew inside she was lonely.
They never knew she was broken and lost.
If only they would have looked beyond her false smile of joy,
and gazed deep inside those hazel eyes of hers, they would have seen her life was a miserable wreck. That she was covering up her life of shame.
She never came to truths with her past.
She never spoke of it to anyone, not her dearest friends,
her parents too were oblivious to her hurt.
Only she knew the secrets that slowly ate away at her heart.
That rainy day changed everything. Her life was never again the same. Her grades dropped,
she began to lose her friends,
and everything she worked for.
The secrets took toll on her soul. She quit all her sports and clubs, and started dressing differently. She swore at her teachers and skipped classes.
Instead of laughing with joy,
that laughter they all knew so well, she would just sit in the back corner of class, in dead silence.
No one knew why she suddenly acted this way.
Everyone had their opinions and thoughts.
But they were all wrong as to why she wasn't the same.
Chances are they wont ever unmask her mystery.
The days grew shorter, and the nights lingered on longer and longer.
As time went on her life worsened. Rarely could you spot her at school, she was always on the streets trying to get her fix,
for that was the only way to numb her inside and armor her of pain. Till one day, around 7:30 pm,
he crept into her room,
just after her mom went off to work. He beat and raped her once again.
As this lost girl lay on her bed in blood stained clothes,
she wept a stream of tears that seemed to never end,
as she became furious...
She never fought back or spoke out for help.
But this night was different.
She could no longer stand this pain that overtook her precious heart. The next morning came so quickly, as she forced herself to get out of bed, she went to school.
All her teachers and classmates, stared in disbelief.
Could this be the same girl they had seen just 6 months ago? Everyone asked but she wouldn't tell.
Instead of her daily fix she moved on to something more horrid,
her razor blade,
so sharp and victimizing.
As she picked up the razor with her cold quivering hands,
she slowly placed it on her arm. She slashed her wrists as if she were in a race against time.
For only she knew what came when the clock turned 7:30...
Blood dripped on the floor,
creating a puddle of darkened red. With she slit she made she let out one secret at a time,
and eased her body of all the pain time as created.
As her breaths started becoming heavier,
it was hard to hold her head up any longer,
it was all so quiet,
every drip of blood,
seemed to echo in the treacherous silence as it hit the ground.
She just kept dicing away at each of her wrists wondering how much time she had left.
As she stood up and glanced at her reflection in the mirror she did not recognize this creature,
for this was not her,
it was her shame,
her sorrow,
her false life,
all the lies,
that have taken over.
If only this girl would have cried for help when she had a chance,
told someone,
anyone,
maybe today she would still be breathing.
Some say there is a god,
i say who would create a world so cruel,
and fill it full of people,
with such sick ways with power to tear down little girls dreams and all hopes at a real life?
To that little girl,
there was no savior,
no god,
no hopes,
no one to cure her of this tragedy. So tell us,
where is god when we need him the most,
is he hiding because of this world of life he has created,
is just a colder version of hell??
