A Perfect Nightmare

by Davey   Feb 4, 2007

Silence Fills the night
So slowly without words
Sleep fades because of fright
As she lies there wide awake
Hoping her life might just waste away
No more frail lives to mend
Eternal rest everyday

Her eyes beg to be weary
Her mind dreams to be still
But the thoughts keep on churning
She has too many wishes to fulfill

She reaches for the telephone
To call her one last Friend
But the endless ringing proves her absence
Now her true fears begin to descend
Is she really alone in this world?
With no one to rely on?
Has all her hope truly faded
Are all chances for renewal really gone?

Tears slowly fall from her pretty face
Until her pillow is like a pool
She cries for somthing more in this world
Than just another useless tool
She desires to be known
Not vaguely forgotten and alone
Shes sick of being their lifeless clone

She tosses and turns
Her thoughts have her restless
She tries to close her eyes
To alteast dream for alittle while
And leave without any regretful goodbyes

In the midst of her fantasy
She saw herself standing in a circle
With all the frail around
They reach out to her
With so many questions abound
They ask for the impossible
Hope that can only bring her down
All the eager eyes seem to stare
So demanding yet so heartless
Their faces show they dont really care
Even their fake smiles and decetiful praise
Do nothing to heal the burn
The moon slowly walk its path again
As the clock continues to turn

Then a sudden knock on the door
And a drowsy face that peers in
She cant believe her own father
Finally came to confess his sin
Finally the world may turn again

Through the window comes the sun
Even though another night has past
She is happy for what hes done
Her soul has forgiven them at-last
