Not the Love I Wanted

by Andrea Raquel   Feb 5, 2007

How pretty she is when she falls down.
How ugly when she cries.
A rumor spread all through the town.
A life that's full of lies.

Dresses filled with pretty girls.
Clothing set to whim.
I've not a chance in Beauty World
Of love from Seraphim.

That was not love, but tainted fire
Burned me up with passion? Ire.
Hurt again, I don't know how
Hit me, beat me, love me now.

A competition, no volition,
Save me from this Hell
Hurt again, I don't know when
Oh, come on, Johnny, tell

He's not a god, he's not a rock.
I'm dropping like a stone.
How do problems stem from growing
In a stable lovely home?

Just let me go, just let me leave,
Just let my freedom be.
"It's not as if you're gonna grieve"
That whxre had said to me.

Just, please, some peace and quiet.
That was her last request.
Now I hold a smoking gun.
Shot Darling in the chest.

So drowned in Sorrow, down the hall,
Still steeped in tears and blood,
I wish you could now tell me, Doll
You still think Love is Good?
