Over The Edge

Choking on the Chains
That Held you for so long
Against your lost freedom
Within Trying to Stay strong

Shackles that have held
So many that haven't seen
Behind your opaque tears
Is a past behind a clear screen

You don't have to go back
To so many painful scenes
The mistreatment of your childhood
And hitting of your teens

They are dead currently today
Although You can still feel the pain
The scars your daddy left behind
And Yours against your vein

Hard to Let go of all the memories
So tightly embedded in your grasp
Trying get rid of the stories
Behind one last suffocating gasp

Beneath Your feet today
Are the depths of your past
Crashing shores upon the cliff
Just another moment surpassed

Jump to the freedom
That You wished so long
No more agony against your marrow
Maybe thats where you belong.
