I Just Want You To Be Happy

by Lydia Tounzen   Feb 5, 2007

They say I belong far away from here
Away from them
Away from my memories
But can't they see I don't care
I love you
All I want is to remember,
I don't want to lose you
And if I have to lose my past for you
I will
There is no end to the things I would do
To make you happy
I don't care if I have you
I just want you to be happy
Even if it's not with me
I don't know what to do
To make myself who you would want me to be
I try so hard to be perfect
But I can't be something I'm not
I wish I knew what I could do
I looked into your eyes and saw so much
I don't want to see you turn your back
I never meant to do those things
I just want to get out
I'm sorry for everything I've caused
Maybe it would be better if you left
Then I couldn't hurt you
But you know as well as I do
That I need you
To keep me standing as you've done so many times before
But I know you won't always be here
I know you have a past as well
I know you have a life
One that I may never fit into
But I still love you

Hey--- you have potential in writing.... you have a great way of writing from your heart. although sometimes i think people like to write from their head instead... great job.
    Love, Larissa Renae Davis :)
