Thank You [But Good-Bye]

by Alicia   Feb 6, 2007

You finally found out.
You seem so surprised.
Didn't you see the loss.
Or the pain in my eyes?

You ask how long.
I can't say I remember.
Sometime last year.
Maybe September.

I wasn't hurting anyone.
No one even noticed.
I never said anything.
Never cut on my wrists.

Scars litter my body.
Where no one will see.
But now that you know.
Will you ever let me be?

I'm weary with life.
But I can't seem to go through.
I'm broken and tired.
My happy moments are few.

Just stop with your caring!
Why can't you see?
I just want to hide.
Please forget me.

I blend in just fine.
Lost in the faces.
I'm just another person.
Leaving Earth with no traces.

So don't worry.
Enjoy my rhyme.
I'm just going away.
But just for a time.

I'll never forget you.
You were always there.
You never let me down.
Even when it wasn't fair.

But such as it has.
My life will go on.
Thank you everything.
Even when it was wrong.

I go now with grace.
I'll accept my fate.
I disappear into the world.
I'll drown now in my hate.

Bless your heart girl. I know what your pain is like. We do seem to have a lot in common. Very well done 5/5 for you too. You keep writing and I'll keep reading.
