Silhouettes

by Matt Carroll   Feb 6, 2007

These eyes are blind, these hands don't feel

My ears are silenced, it's all so unreal

This heart beats no longer, no blood left 2 bleed

The warmth of touch will now recede

Love has left me, nowhere in sight

Not else to do but drink and fight

Smoke does play, 'cross moonlight rays

I drop and cry for better days

For one to love, for one to care

A place called home, memories 2 share

Someone to hold, no longer cold

A hand entwined, a soul not sold

.45 on the table, 5th of Jack in my hand

No place left for me is this damned land

These tears just fall, pills make me crawl

I can't get in ur way now, can't hurt u at all

My body lay still, in chalk lined silhouette

Happiness, just something I couldn't get

Not a sight, not a sound, as I lay on the ground

..A heart never mended..A love never found..

Oh mi gosh!! I loved this...it makes perfect sense, and it has deep meaning. You didn't hide anything, as in twist it and try to make it very figurative languagishy...And its perfect that way. Very straight forward yet still very powerful. Loved it... although I hope it isnt true and you're actually going through this >.
