The Beat of My Heart

by Just Keara   Feb 6, 2007

You're the step in my walk,
The accent in my talk.
You're the gleam in my smile,
You make my life worth while.

You're the squeak in my laugh,
The goofy one in class.
The laces to my sneakers,
You're the radio to my speakers.

You're the ring on my phone,
You're always there, I'm not alone.
You're the subject of my poem,
My heart you have stolen.

You're the dimple in my cheek,
The voice that makes me speak,
The supporter for my weak knees,
You're love is all I seek.

You're the groceries in my bag,
You speed me up when I lag.
You're the pusher of my cart,
You're the Beat of My Heart.
