The love cycle

by resisting reason   Feb 6, 2007

Ones heart and ones love
are closely entwined
tightly at first
but unravels with time
at first you'll hold hands and smile
then move on to kissing
which lasts awhile
sometimes by now you can say i love you
and sometimes it'll be true
sometimes you'll mean it
and they'll say it too
then its on to second and third base
but take your time
it's not a race
this can be fun, but also very dangerous
for it forms a connection
that seems....contagious
you'll feel it, and so will they
after this things will never be the same
a scary feeling sets in
a feeling of forever
you'll think "wow, this person makes me life better"
and when the fear has passed,
and you put trust in your signifigant other
you'll stop being friends
and start being lovers
after sex, you'll feel closer than ever
your absolutly sure
you'll be together for ever
for awhile, things go well
your still in love
but then things go to hell
no more i love yous
maybe every other day
its to late now
things will never be the same
the snowball effect
your problems come slow and small
then they get bigger
like a solid brick wall
one that theres no getting around
and before you know it
your loves hit the ground
you hope things will get better
things will improve
but don't fool yourself
you're going to lose
you'll lose your love and
any respect for them
until you find another one
and do the whole thing over again

You're probably right, no... you are right in what you are saying. But it's fun though, being in love I mean?

    Nice poem, keep writing!
