Falling Apart

by Cami   Feb 7, 2007

So quietly she walks,
She wont let anybody hear,
She hopes nobody's figured out,
That her smile hides her tears.

She hides is with a laugh,
She hopes no body knows,
Pretending is her specialty,
So her story goes untold

She wonders what they say,
Do they know her silent plea?
Do they know how often she tells herself
"I just dont want to be me"

She seems so strong on the outside
but inside she's breaking down,
Shes heard enough from people,
Shes had it with this town.

No one ever questions her,
when shes having a bad day,
No one understands her
To them she seems ok.

The burden she carries is a great one
But she carries it with ease.
She seems so easy going,
Just so easy to please.

She says she'll be ok
And not to worry cause she'll get by
Shes being covered by a mask,
and covered up with lies.

To them she seems so happy,
There couldnt be anything wrong.
Over and Over she says, "Im fine"
She sings a worn out song.

She knows shes getting worse,
and she says she just needs time
Time to heal her broken soul
Time to make things right.

Each day she goes on smiling
Pretending shes not falling apart.
She's an artist, see that smile,
Thats her work of art.

So quietly she walks
Eyes glued on the floor,
She hides her pain with a smile,
But she just cant take much more
