I'm sorry mum

by Lauren   Feb 7, 2007

I'm sorry that I hurt you mum,
I'm sorry that I lied.
I'm sorry that because of me,
More than once you've cried.

I'm sorry that it's hard mum,
I'm sorry for every fight.
I'm sorry that dad and I
Just can't get it right.

I'm sorry because you see mum
I'd rather go to hell,
Than find I've disappointed you
And given you cause to yell.

But I'm afraid this time I failed mum,
I let you learn the truth,
Now you know the dark secrets,
All about my youth.

But you need to see my side mum,
It's better off this way,
Because even if my problems are fixed,
I'll go back to them one day.

I'll always know you love me mum,
I'll always love you too.
But now you have to let it go,
That's all I ask of you.

Please just walk away mum
And leave me where I lay.
Will anyone else miss me mum
Or will I just fade away?

So now I'm going to leave mum,
God I hope that you don't cry.
I just want to say thankyou mum,
Thankyou and goodbye.

The feeling of disapointing a family memeber, specially a mother or father, can be extremely hard to live down. At times it would be better in hell than ta have ta see the disapointment on their face. I've lived that myself all too much. Great emtion in the words
