Dear Angel of Death

by TwistedNightmare   Feb 7, 2007

Darkened angel, I believed
You were my savoir in my time of need.
Blinded by fear
I couldn't hear
All the whispers,
The warnings so clear.

"I'll lead them to your door,"
I hear them say.
Pulling us along
They keep on speaking,
Their voices so strong.
"There's no escape now,
No mercy no more."
We reach the cage;
They opened the door,
And they threw me unto the floor.

Sickened Angel, tell me why?
What did you want from me?

I remember,
You walking through the door.
Your footsteps echoed loudly
In my fragile mind.
I remember,
Your joyful glee
As you caught sight of me,
A young dwarf,
No taller than four foot three.

As you stood there
I couldn't see
Your dark intensions, your feelings for me.
Twisted angel, tell me why?
What did I do?
Why make me cry?

You're voice was booming,
You're hands so rough
As you grabbed me by the arm
And threw me to the floor.
I tried to scream,
But you said, "Shut up!"
As I lied their
In my pile of filth,
I felt so small,
So much more like trash.

When I looked up,
I could see your smile,
Your sick twisted sneer.
You glared down at me,
I wish you could see,
How you made me feel.
So worthless,
So weak.

You stood like a solider
Eyes never leaving mine.
I don't know what I did
To make you hate me so
And I didn't want to show
What I was really feeling,
The fear inside.

You're words were haunting,
Spoken so cold.
"There's no escape now,
No mercy no more."
You kneeled next to me on the floor.
You're arms reached for me
And I still remember
The smile when you tore me apart.

Dear Mr. Angel,
Why did you do the things you did?
Tell me please,
How did I hurt you?
What was my sin?
What did I do?
For your hate to be so strong?
Please Mr. Angel,
Tell me what's wrong.

As time went by,
Things became clearer
And I finally figured out
Your identity, your darkened name,
The terror inside of you.
You were my killer,
My twisted angel.
The Angel of Death.

This world has failed me,
It didn't give me reason why.
You had to hurt me,
You made me cry.

Dear Sickened Angel,
Why was I one of the chosen ones?
Why did you rob me of all my strength?
Make me turn to insanity,
Made me lose the fight?

Angel of Death,
This is from me to you.
This is what I want you to do.
Listen to my whispers,
Listen to my voice
And may you be restless
From this point through.
May you wonder
What it\'s like,
To lose a fearsome fight.

Angel of Death,
This is from me to you.
From 400,000 souls,
Killed by your hands alone,
I am the only one
Who will speak to you.
So, this is from me
And this is to you.

Dear Mr. Angel,
Just answer me one question,
Rest me assure.
I still want to know
What I did.

Please, Fallen Angel.

What was my sin?
