A Misfit\'s Resolution

by david kessel   Apr 4, 2004

I go there and they tell me "Come back here!".
I come back here and they chase me there.
I don\'t belong in any place and frankly, I don\'t care.

I go there and they tell me I am this,
And I come back to here and they tell me I am that,
A fatso calls me skinny and a toothpick calls me fat.

And to the young I\'m old and to the old I \'m young,
And to the short I\'m tall and to the ill-endowed I \'m just too well-hung,
I simply can't fit in just like a footbal in a bowl of egg-foo-yung.

My own universe I must establish everywhere I go,
And make myself the center of my own one-man show
And if it's good or bad , I just don\'t know.
