Day to day

by katey   Feb 8, 2007

Day to Day I walk among the various bodies,
I see their various faces,
I hear their various voices. BROKEN.

Day to Day I repeat the cycle,
continue the pattern,
follow the chain,
stick to the mold,
set in stone. FATE

Day to Day I cant help but feel empty, bland, bored, detached, missing something important. GONE

Day to Day is all the same.

Day to Day I think of ways to break away,
to flee, to be happy again. ESCAPE

Then one day, the same blue sky is broken. A bolt of lightning. RED

My safe, well manufactured world is set aflame. BURN

The various bodies, faces, voices gone. I can't help but smile. I set my perfect world on fire. SCREAMING

I feel the tears of happiness as the ashes settle and I climb my way out of the Day to Day. DEBRIS

Now I have nothing to do but live for today. FREE

I killed the broken,
I broke the chain,
I found the missing link.
JOY

I set my world aflame.
