My Own Illusion

by Kelso   Feb 8, 2007

My life is full of confusion
i don't know where to turn
in my life there is an intrusion
for i have yet to understand and learn

my love has a thin piece of steel
but it is the wielder who holds my heart
everytime we begin to heal the steel tears us apart

I wonder if i should pick up the blade
shed my husk of fears
then everyone could see the poetry I've made
but only those who can distinguish my scarlet tears

the damage has been done
no more need to hesitate
i don't need to cower and run
me and the knife are one

i let the fluid flow
it flows so very slow though
the blood trickles from my veins
then i strike the final blow

now more poems i must make
for this one has drawn a conclusion
you never know truth from fake
your forever trapped in my illusion

I got lost when I read this poem the first time, but after about the third time of reading it, it makes more sense. You just have to pay close attention. I like it.
