Stacks on stacks,
pile for pile,
have the dishes been clean,
they go on for a mile,
from rotten tomatoes,
to left over cake,
from things jimmy put in the oven,
that he thought he could bake,
from your yellow bunny slippers,
to your homework sheet,
all the way to your socks,
that you've wore for a week,
to the toy train in your room,
and the duck in the bath,
and that old rock you found,
on that old muddy path,
to the kid that you met,
to your old chewed gum,
from the family dog max,
to your old squirt gun,
have you done the dishes yet,
will they ever be clean,
or will they just pile up more,
and she replies "oh heaven's what do you mean?"
